The National Association of Wheat Growers has named a new Chief Executive Officer. National Farmers Union’s Senior Vice President of Programs Chandler Goule will lead the wheat organization starting on July 5. Goule says the timing was right for the move.
He says he’ll hit the ground running and will be working on the 2018 farm bill as hearings will soon begin on that legislation.
Goule says he also wants to make sure there are improved trade opportunities for wheat.
Besides serving as NAWG’s CEO, Goule will also be Executive Director of the National Wheat Foundation. He has served the past six and a half years with NFU and prior to that worked as Subcommittee staff director for the House Agriculture Committee.
