Number two rallied past number one as Minnesota defeated Nebraska Wednesday in a battle of the nation’s top two volleyball squads.

The Gophers lost the first two sets 21-25 and 22-25 before rallying for a 28-26, 25-17, 17-15 finish.

The Huskers saw their 14-match winning streak snapped, but Nebraska maintains a share of the Big Ten lead with Wisconsin.

Nebraska can wrap up the title Saturday with a win over Michigan and a Wisconsin loss at Minnesota.

The Gophers sit in third place, one win back of the top two in the conference.
