The National Music Museum in Vermillion, South Dakota is teaming up with Google to boost tourist interest in the museum. The Google Cultural Institute is an online resource for the arts and worldwide cultural attractions and will be featuring the museum’s exhibits in a virtual online tour. Cleveland Johnson is director of the museum and addressed a crowd this morning to announce the partnership.

South Dakota Secretary of Tourism, Jim Hagen, says the goal behind the partnership is to increase the amount of people coming to the state to take advantage of the museum.

The virtual tour and exhibit showcases can be found online at google.com/culturalinstitute with information and details on the instruments within the museum.
