There’s more good economic news for Nebraska. UNL Bureau of Business Research Director Eric Thompson says their latest monthly economic survey surged, with the strongest indicators of growth since last December.
Thompson says the Nebraska economy is expected to grow moderately over the next few months…and grow solidly in the second half of 2014.
Thompson says it was the third straight month of improvement in their indicator of the state’s economy. Thompson says initial unemployment claims dropped significantly, while businesses predicted increased sales and jobs over the next six months. Thompson added that building permits for homes increased, while Nebraska’s exporters benefited from a decline in the U.S. dollar.
