Senior Hallie Getz tied one and broke two school records en route to winning the Chip-N Club title Tuesday as the South Dakota State women’s golf team finished second.
Getz shot a four-under par 68 and finished with a 213 (74-71-68), tying her own school record for 18 holes and breaking the records for 36 (139) and 54 holes (213). Getz is now the only Jackerabbit in school history to win two individual titles.
South Dakota senior Brenna Lervick shot a program record 4-under par (68) in the final round as she moved up 14 spots and finished in a tie for eighth place.
Kansas State won the team title with a score of 14-over par (292-301-285-878). South Dakota State was second at 19-over par (303-292-288-883) and Florida International was third (302-295-296-893). USD finished in a tie for seventh place with a three-round score of 923 (314-310-299).
