South Dakota legislators will spend a lot of time talking about marijuana before the end of the session.
A bill was introduced last week to delay the implementation of medicinal marijuana at least a year. That was approved by voters with the passage of “IM26” last November, which should be effective this July first.

Representative Mike Stevens of Yankton says there are a lot of details involved..

Stevens says there is preparation work ongoing at several levels..

Stevens says it is better to take more time to get it right.

HB 1100 has been amended and will be set for a committee hearing in the next few days.
