Gas prices keep tumbling. Triple-A Nebraska spokesperson Rose White says prices have dropped 40-cents a gallon in the last month. She says crude oil inventories are up 3.6 million barrels. Supplies have risen for ten consecutive weeks, up more than 56 million barrels since mid-September. U.S. oil production is also up to its highest level producing 11.7 million barrels a day.
The average price in Nebraska is now $2.37 a gallon but considerably less in some communities. The lowest price in the state is in Yutan at $1.99 a gallon.
White says it costs about $6 less for drivers to fill their tank.
White says crude oil prices are expected to fall through the end of the year.
