Minnesota counties and tribes are receiving their first payments in new state funding, totaling $23 million, to help improve child protective services.
Jim Koppel with the Department of Human Services says the counties and tribes will receive 80% of the $23 million now and the remainder in February 2016 if they meet certain performance requirements.
