Former Minnesota state legislator and Fulda area farmer Ted Winter has been appointed to the State Pollution Control Agency’s Citizen’s Advisory Board. Winter says as a farmer he brings a unique perspective to the board regarding environmental protection.
He says overseeing the regulatory program in place to improve water quality in the state is a major responsibility for both the Pollution Control Agency and its advisory board.
Winter says everyone has a role to play in protecting the state’s water and environment and it takes a team effort to accomplish that.
Winter previously served 16 years in the Minnesota State House of Representatives and was House Majority leader for two years. He currently owns and operates a 250 acre crop farm in Southwest Minnesota.
