Fuels America this week took out a full page advertisement in a Las Vegas publication aimed at President Obama during his appearance at the National Clean Energy Summit in Nevada. The Renewable Fuels Association is a member of that group. RFA Senior Vice President Geoff Cooper says the ad describes the benefits of the RFS over its ten year history.
Cooper says the ad coincides with a report out another Fuels America member, the Biotech Industry Organization. He says that report shows the benefits the RFS has had on reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
Cooper says besides the environmental benefits the RFS has had a direct beneficial impact on job creation.
The Bio Tech report also points out the total creation nationally of more than 850,000 jobs from the RFS as well as a reduction of America’s oil imports by nearly two thirds.
