The enrollment deadline for the Ag Risk Coverage and Price Loss Coverage programs at USDA Farm Service Agency offices is fast approaching. Minnesota State Farm Service Agency Executive Director Joe Martin says June 30 is the deadline for both 2019 and 2020 programs. He says most have signed up so far, but if you haven’t all that’s really needed in most cases is a signature.

Bobbie Kriz Wickham with the Nebraska State FSA office says they’ve had good response with their ARC PLC enrollment.

Martin says the importance of these two safety net programs is highlighted by the fact, producers have been hit hard by the COVID 19 pandemic.

Martin says their offices in Minnesota are doing business on line and by telephone while Wickham says some of their county FSA offices in Nebraska are in the process of reopening.

She says it’s advisable to phone ahead to see what status your county FSA office is in whether or not they’re allowing in office appointments.
