Farm Service Agency offices are busy this month sending out payments to help grain farmers manage through the latest economic downturn. South Dakota State FSA Executive Director Craig Schaunaman says they just recently sent out ARC and PLC safety net payments which should come at a good time for producers who’ve been seeing low grain prices the last three years.
Schaunaman says payments are going out via electronic transfer, so it’s important producers check their accounts to verify they received the payment and that it’s the correct amount.
FSA offices will next disperse Conservation Reserve Program payments to those enrolled in the program.
If producers have any questions they should contact their county Farm Service Agency office.
