The farm bill signup isn’t even fully completed, but the head of the Farm Service Agency is predicting there will be payments made to farmers. FSA Administrator Val Dolcini says with farmers able to look back at 2014 prices as they signed up, all indications are those lower prices will trigger payments.

He says county offices are still wrapping up the last of the elections from farmers between the ARC and PLC programs and so FSA should know the results of the sign up soon.

He says they do know approximately 1.7 million producers nationwide made elections and reallocated base acres.
