Free Tire Drop Off for Southeast SD Towns

The South Dakota Department of Environment and Natural Resources has awarded a grant to the Vermillion land fill to accept and recycle old tires. Yankton, Beresford and Elk Point will also have drop off points.
Yankton City Finance Officer Al Viereck says those old tires can be a health hazard….

Viereck says the drop off will be free to city residents….

The dates for the drop off have yet to be set, but Viereck says they expect it to run for three to four weeks.
