Omaha, South Dakota State, Oral Roberts and Western Illinois will make up the field for this year’s Summit League baseball tourney opening Wednesday in Tulsa, Ok.

This is the third regular-season title for Omaha (20-10) since joining the league in 2013, but this will be the first time the Mavericks will get to enjoy being the No. 1 seed at the #SummitBSB Championship. Their first two regular-season titles came before they were eligible to compete in postseason play in 2016.

First pitch of the 2019 Summit League Championship will take place at 12 p.m. (CT) on Wednesday when the Mavericks face the Leathernecks in game one. Game No. 2 is slated for a 6 p.m. start and will feature South Dakota State (19-10) and host Oral Roberts (17-12).

This will be the 16th time the Golden Eagles have hosted the postseason event, but the first time they will not be the No. 1 or No. 2 seed since joining the league in 1998. The Jacks are the hottest team entering the tournament, having won seven of their last 10 games and have not dropped a league series (5-0-1) since being swept by Omaha (April 5-6).
