A forum on property taxes held this week in Norfolk outlined the problem but didn’t come up with any answers.
Senator Tom Briese of Albion says there were over one hundred people there to listen and talk about the rising taxes. He says many are frustrated at the lack of action by the legislature….

Briese says there were a lot of ideas tossed out….

Briese says it will take additional taxes to roll back property taxes…

Briese says he will again introduce a bill in next year’s session to raise sales taxes to offset property taxes. Briese says he would also support a constitutional amendment on property taxes.
