Former South Dakota State Agriculture Secretary Bill Even has been named the new CEO of the National Pork Board starting June 6. Even has been Global Industry Relations Lead with Du Pont Pioneer. He says he’s looking forward to the job and believes it’s important for all ag producers to continue building their relations with consumers and getting the story out about the great job they do caring for their animals.

He says the Pork Board and other ag organizations can help producers communicate with consumers.

Even says the pork industry is currently going through a period of growth and trade can help enhance that going forward.

Even owns and runs a fifth generation diversified crop and livestock operation near Humboldt, South Dakota. He raises corn, soybeans, wheat, alfalfa and cattle.
