Former legislator Stace Nelson of Fulton was elected to the District 19 Senate seat in this week’s election.

The republican Nelson got over seventy eight percent of the vote over democrat Russell Graeff of Scotland.

Nelson says he thinks voters in the district know who he is…..

Nelson served two terms in the House before taking a run at the US Senate nomination in 2014.

Nelson says he is concerned about the fiscal health of the state….

Nelson says he wants to change priorities…..

Nelson says he is interested in serving on the Judiciary and Education Committees.
