Alongside the reports of former South Dakota State Jackrabbit Nate Wolters signing with the Denver Nuggets last week, two additional SDSU men’s basketball alum have signed professional contracts overseas.

George Marshall and Deondre Parks, both 2016 graduates and members of the Jackrabbit basketball program that went to the NCAA Tournament last season, are playing in Europe this year as part of the Dutch and British Basketball Leagues, respectively.

“George and Deondre have done spectacular things to elevate the level of the SDSU men’s basketball program,” head coach TJ Otzelberger said. “The opportunities that they have each earned are a credit to their hard work and character. The Jackrabbit basketball family looks forward to following their successes in the professional ranks.”

Marshall signed with Aris Leuuwarden for the 2016-17 season and left for the Netherlands, specifically Holland, on Aug. 26 while Parks has been in Newcastle, Great Britain to play for the Newcastle Eagles earlier this month.
