Former South Dakota State center Clarissa Ober will continue her basketball career in Germany after signing a professional contract recently with ChemCats Chemnitz in the Damen-Basketball-Bundesliga (DBBL).
“I am extremely blessed to be playing professionally overseas while being able to see different things that I may have never been able to see,” Ober said. “I’m beyond excited, but nervous, to go and play. Playing at SDSU has given me all the experiences I need to be successful.”
The two-time Summit League Defensive Player of the Year will begin preseason practice along with a few games in August. The regular season opens at the end of September. ChemCats is in the DBBL’s first division, the highest league in German basketball
