Dallas Cowboys defensive tackle Maliek Collins, a rookie third-round pick from Nebraska, will miss 10 to 12 weeks after breaking his right foot in offseason practice last week.

Coach Jason Garrett said Wednesday that Collins should be ready around the start of training camp in California in late July. Collins is the only unsigned rookie with two weeks left before mandatory minicamp.

The Cowboys are trying to improve their pass rush in the interior and on the edge, and Collins was expected to be in the mix for playing time. Dallas also signed former Philadelphia defensive tackle Cedric Thornton in free agency.
