The top four seeds all posted quarterfinal wins on Wednesday night in the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Women’s Postseason Basketball Tournament. Top seeded Northwestern defeated #8 Briar Cliff 70-58, while fourth seed Concordia defeated 5th seed Midland 93-91 in overtime. On the bottom of the bracket second seed Hastings defeated 7th seed Doane 72-55 and third seed Morningside defeated 6th seed Dakota Wesleyan 90-54.
Saturday’s GPAC Semifinals will have top seed Northwestern hosting #4 Concordia, while third seed Morningside will travel to #2 Hastings. Both games will tipoff at 3pm.
GPAC Championship Tuesday, sponsored by Rawlings, will be on Tuesday, March 4. The GPAC Postseason Champion garners an automatic berth to the NAIA National Basketball Tournament (the runner-up gains the berth if the regular season champion (top seed Northwestern) wins the postseason).
