The top four seeds all posted quarterfinal wins on Wednesday night in the 2016 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Women’s Postseason Basketball Tournament.

Top-seeded Morningside defeated #8 College of Saint Mary 82-72, while fourth-seed Briar Cliff defeated fifth-seed Concordia 76-69.  On the bottom of the bracket second-seed Mount Marty defeated seventh-seed Northwestern 75-67 and third seed Dakota Wesleyan defeated 6th seed Hastings 75-67.

Saturday’s GPAC Semifinals will have top-seed Morningside hosting #4 Briar Cliff at 3 PM, while third seed Dakota Wesleyan will travel to #2 Mount Marty at 5 PM.

GPAC Championship Tuesday, sponsored by Rawlings, will be on Tuesday, March 1.  The GPAC Postseason Tournament Champion garners an automatic berth to the NAIA National Basketball Tournament (the runner-up gains the berth if the regular season champion (top seed Morningside) wins the postseason).

GPAC Women’s Basketball Championship Tuesday, March 1
