Resolutions regarding foreign animal diseases will dominate the annual meetings for both the Minnesota Pork Producers Association and Board on February 4 in Minneapolis. Minnesota Pork CEO Dave Preisler says policy resolutions forwarded by the Association look at USDA’s involvement in prevention and preparedness.

He says the checkoff side of the organization will also look at resolutions with the same theme, due to the increasing threat of African Swine Fever.

Preisler says speakers will focus on not only African Swine Fever, but a host of other topics key to the pork industry.

The Minnesota Pork Congress and Trade Show is scheduled for February 5 and 6 at the Minneapolis Convention Center.
