The 2016 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Football All-Conference Team has been selected after a vote of the league coaches.
Dillon Turner of Dakota Wesleyan has been named the Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Offensive Player-of-the-Year, while Luke Gibbs of Morningside was named the Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Defensive Player-of-the-Year. Vance Winter of Concordia University was named the Hauff Mid-America/GPAC Coach-of-the-Year.
Morningside was the regular season conference champion for 2016 finishing 8-0 in GPAC play. The Mustangs and regular season runner-up, Doane, qualified for the NAIA Football Championship Series which opens on Saturday, Nov. 19, with first round action. Morningside will host Tabor, while Doane will host Eastern Oregon.
