The “Mental Health of First Responders” Task Force of the South Dakota legislature meets Tuesday in Pierre.

Task Force Co-Chair, Representative Ryan Cwach of Yankton, says they set up a program to help pay for counseling services..

Cwach says they want to find out how that grant is being used..

Cwach says they need to find ways to help rural emergency services find and keep their first responders….

Most of the bills that set up the programs passed the legislature near unanimously.
