Yankton City Commissioners got their first look this week at the overall direction of the 2020 budget.
While the entire spending plan is not yet complete, City Manager Amy Leon told commissioners that she is projecting capital spending to rise to thirty-seven million dollars next year from this year’s thirty-four million.
Mayor Nathan Johnson says there are some extra issues they have to deal with..

Johnson says the budget will put pressure on some of their funding sources…

Johnson says they may have to change the priority of some infrastructure projects….

The total city budget for this year was projected at fifty seven million dollars.
