The financial future of the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis is now in the hands of a federal judge. There are currently two different bankruptcy plans under consideration. The first was crafted by lawyers for the archdiocese and rejected by the group of sex abuse survivors. The second proposal was submitted by attorneys for the survivors. The major difference between the plans is the amount of money available to survivors. No date was given for the next hearing.
