A bill providing financial exploitation protections for older and vulnerable adults passed out of the Minnesota Senate on a 54-0 vote.

Senator Karin Housley of St. Marys Point says the bill allows financial professionals to report when they reasonably believe a client may be a victim. And it gives the advisors the ability to delay disbursements or transactions in certain situations when financial exploitation is suspected.
