Ag Secretary Tom Vilsack announced that USDA is providing $ 332 million in financial and technical assistance through the Agricultural Conservation Easement program. South Dakota NRCS ACEP Coordinator Ben Bigalke says ACEP is a combination made up of past programs funded through the 2008 farm bill.
Bigalke says ACEP and the programs that preceded it have been very popular with South Dakota landowners and has seen high participation.
Bigalke says sign up details will be released sometime next week and producers can find those by checking with their local county NRCS office or check with the state office in Huron.
