The final four teams to earn a spot in the College World Series field this season in Omaha won Super Regional titles Monday.
Austin Langworthy homered off Steven Williams’ glove in the 11th inning, giving the overall top-seeded Florida Gators a 3-2 victory against Auburn in the deciding game of their NCAA super regional Monday night and sending the defending national champions to the College World Series for the fourth consecutive year.
Led by Eric Cole’s three hits, including a home run, No. 5 national seed Arkansas (44-19) blasted its way back to Omaha with a 14-4 win over South Carolina on Monday night.
Kody Clemens and DJ Petrinsky hit home runs, Matteo Bocchi was effective in a rare appearance as a starting pitcher, and Texas defeated Tennessee Tech 5-2 for a spot in the College World Series.
Texas Tech is going to the College World Series for the third time in five seasons after a 6-2 win over Duke.
