Last night the Chicago White Sox major league baseball team played the New York Yankees at the Field Of Dreams field in Dyersville, Iowa. Iowa Corn Promotion Board President Greg Alber says it brought great recognition to Iowa’s corn, the state and the town of Dyersville.

Alber who was able to get a ticket and attended the game says people came from all over. He says it was a great opportunity to teach consumers about corn.

Alber says it’s looking now like there will be other major league baseball games played in Dyersville in the future, especially given the success of Thursday’s event.

Alber says Thursday’s game was a great chance to tell agriculture’s story and educate people while having a good time.
