Funding for agricultural research has tapered off in recent years, and one area congressman would like to reverse the trend and devote additional funding towards agricultural research. In fact, Congressman Randy Feenstra, a republican from Iowa’s 4th U-S district would like to double the funding.
Feenstra says he has met with several farmers during the congressional Easter recess break, and they have all talked about the farm bill.
