Feedlot Workshops To Be Held In Iowa

Iowa beef producers are being invited to attend workshops that will compare different types of cattle operations and will look at data that may help in the decision making process. Beth Doran, the ISU Extension and outreach beef program specialist, says the workshops are targeted towards potential and existing producers.

Doran says producers will receive several production resources and tools as well as an updated feedlot systems manual.

Doran says northwestern Iowa contains a lot of the different operations that will be discussed in these workshops. Producers interested in attending can call their local extension office to pre-register in order to reserve a noon meal.
The workshops will take place on March 3rd in Emmetsburg, March 4th in Cherokee, March 18th in Lewis, and on March 25th in Carrol.
