The Seventh annual South Dakota Cattlemen’s Foundation’s Prime Time Gala event raised over $253,000 this year for Feeding South Dakota. The total amount donated from the Foundation since the Gala’s start in 2014 is now over $1.7 million dollars. Feeding South Dakota CEO Matt Gassen says the donation helps them purchase beef protein and get it out to those who most need it.

He says even though the pandemic raised demand for their services at Feeding South Dakota, that demand is still prevalent and the need is still out there.

Gassen says the Cattle groups, the Association and Foundation have been extremely generous over the years despite their industry going through their own challenges.

Gassen says since the Prime Time Gala’s inception Feeding South Dakota has been able to purchase over 1.1 million pounds of beef.
