The numbers for those accessing the services of Feeding South Dakota has been going up and the latest donation of $263,000 from the State Cattlemen’s Association will help in meeting those needs. That’s according to Matt Gassen, CEO of Feeding South Dakota.

He says the number of people needing food continues to grow across the entire state.

Gassen expects food assistance needs to go up even more given the depressed state of the ag economy.

Gassen says one of their challenges is logistic in nature, in getting food out to areas of the state other than Sioux Falls or Rapid City.
