A federal judge has ordered another round of mediation — this time including insurance companies and parishes — after rejecting competing plans to compensate victims of priest sex abuse in the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis. Survivor Jim Keenan calls it a small victory and predicts a better one is coming:
Archdiocese officials respond the judge again directly dismissed assertions that the church is acting in bad faith. They say they look forward to court-directed mediation with all participants to bring “a prompt and fair resolution.”
