FCC Commissioner Brendan Carr Says South Dakota & Rural Areas Will be Part of 5G Expansion

Making sure rural areas of the country are not left behind as 5G wireless services are rolled out is a priority of the Federal Communications Commission.

FCC Commissioner Brendan Carr says they are taking steps to cut costs to deploy the new technology…..

Carr was at Ehresman (airs-men) Engineering in Yankton, looking over their cell tower production facilities. Carr says there is money available to help support 5G service in rural areas….

Carr says they are making the deployment of the new technology a high priority….

Carr was also making stops at Sioux Falls Tower, and at a meeting sponsored by South Dakota Senator John Thune.
