Many farmers are using precision agriculture technology in their operations, and are now adding drones to that list. American Soybean Association Board member and Valley Springs, South Dakota Farmer Kevin Scott has been using a drone to survey his fields and will be ramping up usage going forward.

Scott says the drone helps him know exactly what’s happening in his fields through the entire growing season.

Scott says he’s also been able to take photographs using his drone to help him educate the public about agriculture.

Scott says his son was able to use his drone to survey the damage following the recent tornado in Delmont.
