The National Farmers Union is opposing the American Health Care Act, the House legislation to replace Obamacare. Iowa Farmers Union President Aaron Lehman says there are several problems with AHCA replacing Obamacare in that those covered under the Affordable Care Act will now lose their coverage.

He says another major problem with the AHCA replacement legislation is limited access for affordable and quality health care for farmers and ranchers.

Lehman says AHCA calls for putting a cap on Medicaid which would have a major negative impact on Iowans.

The U.S. House is expected to vote this week on the American Health Care Act and Lehman is encouraging his group’s members to contact their Representatives urging a No vote.
