Farmers Union Enterprise Wants The EPA To Approve Higher Ethanol Blends

The five state farmers union groups that make up the Farmers Union Enterprises are pleased the EPA has put forward a proposed rule to allow year round use of E15. Enterprise President and South Dakota Farmers Union President Doug Somkbe say they want the agency to go even further and allow higher ethanol blends.

He says common sense indicates that if E15 is positive for the environment, even higher blends would be more helpful.

Sombke says allowing higher ethanol blends would give consumers healthier choices in the long run.

Joining the Farmers Union Enterprises in calling for higher ethanol blends are the Clean Fuels Development Coalition, Urban Air Initiative and Glacial Lakes Energy.
The Farmers Union Enterprise group is made up of farmers unions from South Dakota, North Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Montana.
