Nebraska’s farmers and ranchers had a good year in 2017 when it comes to federal policy wins. That’s according to Jordan Dux, National Affairs Coordinator for the Nebraska Farm Bureau. He says loosening of burdensome regulations, along with the passage of tax reform are major victories for agriculture.

He says they also scored by getting U.S. beef back into China.

Dux says looking ahead to 2018, his group wants to see USDA finalize the GMO labeling rules and achieve more gains on trade.

Dux says two other areas that need fixing in the upcoming year are health care and immigration.
