Farmers National Company Reporting Record Land Sales In 2021

Farmers National Company said its agents marketed and sold a record amount of land during the company’s fiscal year that ended September 30 of this year. Farmers National Agents and staff handled over three quarters of a billion dollars of real estate sales the past 12 month topping the previous record set in 2013. Randy Dickhut, Senior Vice President of real estate for Farmers National says he expects record land sales will continue..

He says the sections of the Northern Plains that have seen the highest ag land sales are in Iowa and Southeast South Dakota.

Dickhut says over the Northern Plains some of the highest land sales have included several thousand dollars an acre in many instances.

Fiscal year 2021 saw Farmers National selling 55 percent more acres as sale activity picked up during the year.
