Planting is wrapping up and agronomy extension officials are noticing uneven stands with some of the earlier planted crops. In addition, agronomist are noticing some pests that may present some problems and causing emergence gaps. Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Crops Specialist Rebecca Vittetoe says farmers may want to scout their fields for Black Cut Worm.
Vittetoe says Army Worms and Wire Worms may also present some problems to farmers in some regions.
