Farmers and custom applicators are preparing for the dicamba spraying season through required training. Bayer Chemistry Stewardship Manager Mark Groth says there is still time to update the required training for application. They have been holding online seminars since January and those classes continue through the spraying cutoff date.
He says the training is also important to make sure dicamba is being properly applied to decrease the risk of off-target drift. Plus to comply with the new label on dicamba this season from the Environmental Protection Agency.
Groth says there are also more counties in the U.S. and specifically the northern corn belt that are designated as areas with endangered species and have special buffer requirements.
