Farm To Fork Dinner Held At Jordan Scott Farm

A recent Hungry for Truth Farm to Fork event brought together a cross section of South Dakota influencers for a dinner at Jordan Scott’s farm near Valley Springs. Scott is also South Dakota Soybean Association President and says soybean farmers held the event to bridge the gap with consumers and the state’s leaders about agriculture.

Scott says the conversation and touch points with consumers and leaders has shifted away from biotechnology to sustainability and direct to consumer products.

Minnehaha County Commissioner Cindy Heiberger says the Farm to Fork event builds awareness about the impact of agriculture in the state.

And with the declining number of farmers, it’s important to educate leaders and legislators about the key issues in agriculture that are impacting farm families. The event was hosted by South Dakota Soybean.
