Farm Rescue, the non profit group that helps farmers harvest or plant their crop if they’ve experienced a death, injury or natural disaster has received its largest donation ever. The Leona and Harry B Helmsley charitible trust has given the group nearly half a million dollars. Farm Rescue President and Founder Bill Gross says it’s a matching grant that will benefit many.
Gross says a portion of the donation will be used to hire more staff.
He says due to the generous help of many groups and people, Farm Rescue which started in 2006 has been able to advance further with assistance than they ever dreamed possible.
Gross says anyone wanting more information about Farm Rescue or wanting to contribute can access their website at farmrescue.org.
