Farm Rescue, a non profit group that helps farm families who have had a major illness, injury or natural disaster has just received a large grant from Walmart. Regional Operations Manager Faron Wahl says they’re grateful for the award and says it will help them assist those families with planting, harvesting or haying activities.
Wahl says since 2006, Walmart has donated more than $ 325,000 to Farm Rescue. He says the need for more help has increased over the years and Farm Rescue has been able to answer the challenge in the five states it covers, both South and North Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa and Montana.
Farm Rescue is currently accepting applications for the 2015 planting season. You can go to Farm Rescue’s website for more information.. (farmrescue.org).
