North Dakota based Farm Rescue has just reached a milestone. The organization has helped 500 farmers and ranchers who’ve suffered an illness, injury or natural disaster. Farm Rescue’s Dan Erdmann says what helped them reach that mark was the help they’ve given this year to operations that were impacted by the drought.
He says when they were founded 11 years ago, they assisted producers with harvesting and planting chores. This year they added hay hauling for drought relief.
Erdmann says whether it’s planting, harvesting or hay hauling, Farm Rescue is always looking for volunteers.
