Farm Program Sign-Up Extended

Ag Secretary Tom Vilsack has extended the Farm program sign up for Agricultural Risk Coverage or Price Loss Coverage until April 7. Farm Service Agency Administrator Val Dolcini says producers who need to choose between the two programs have done a good job in signing up so far.

Dolcini says if producers fail to choose between ARC or PLC by the deadline then the farm will default to PLC coverage for the 2015 through 2018 crop year payments.

Producers who have an appointment at their local FSA offices scheduled for April 7 will be able to make a choice between ARC and PLC even if their actual appointment is after April 7.
